An opportunity has arisen for two Religious Workers at Nirman Sewak Jatha Sikh Heritage Ltd in Bristol
The duties of the Religious Workers will include: Reading from Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Hymn singing, reciting prayers. Assisting and conducting daily and weekly Diwans, marriages, engagements, funerals and other religious ceremonies. Should be able to teach Gurbani Kirtan, Path and playing instruments (i.e. Vaaja and Tabla). Working collaboratively with the Managing Committee and volunteers. The workers will be responsible for locking and unlocking the Gurdwara premises.
LOCATION: BRISTOL UK, NIRMAN SEWAK JATHA 11 SUMMERHILL ROAD, ST GEORGE, BRISTOL UK BS5 8HG
Requirements: Must be able to read and speak Punjabi (Gurmukhi). Clean character certificate required from previous employer. Should have good communicational and interpersonal skills. A clean DBS or equivalent check is required if accepted. Preference will be given to qualified and experienced candidates who should be a UK resident or have the right to work in the UK.
Duration & Remuneration:
Employment will consist of 20 hours per week. The first 3 months will be a probation period. If performance is satisfactory the duration could be extended to 12 Months.
Rate: Salary will be in accordance to UK employment law, plus reasonable expenses.

Guru Gobind Gurpurab (Jan 24)
Our Nirman Sewak Jatha Gurdwara hosted a information evening about our 10th Guru on the 4th January 2024 during the Gurpurab
This event was host by Sevadaars from Wolverhampton that explain the history of Guru Ji and the Chaar Sahibzaade Ajit Singh, Jujhar Singh, Zorawar Singh, and Fateh Singh.
The Sevadaars did a Q&A and showed the Sangot some weapons that the Guru Ji would of used.
Members of the Gurdwara also took put in a quiz for the members It was nice to see a lot of Sangot from all ages turn up to learn and take part.
